Cat

I definitely have more Valentine cards than I plan to send out but I keep finding these  cute things I want to do.  This one has been  laying on my desk for a few weeks and needed a home.  I saw the sketch at Sketch Saturday and thought she would fit perfectly there.  The challenge at Repeat Impressions is also Cats so a second good reason to put her on this card. Incy Wincy's Challenge is Ribbons and  Pearls both of which I used. And  Since I used the new Spectrum Markers I got for Christmas and their challenge is animals I will use her  there as well.

The markers I used were
BP4                         CG3          LV2
PP4                          EB6
CR8                         GG5

Huggy Koala

The  challenge at Meljen Designs is "Not just black and  White"  so  I added some pink  and a ribbon to  give it a  splash of  color.  I really  like the heart border on the  edge of the card too.

Shades of Blue

The   challenge at C.r.a.f.t.   is Shades of blue.  Since I'm still in winter mode I used this flaky snowman on this  center step card.  Eureka also has an Anything Goes Challenge in which I will enter this card.

Cupcake

I wasn't   quite sure how this card was  going to turnout but  after it's all  done I sorta like it.  I knew I wanted to use the sketch for What If Wednesday so I got that covered then I needed  bake goods for a couple challenges like Tuesday  Throwdown and Repeat Impressions so  theres the reasoning behind the cupcake and the designer paper.  Then I added a  couple  buttons that fit  real  nicely with the sketch and made it work for Love to Create's Button it Up Challenge.

Honeybees

I'm still  playing catch up on all these challenges!  I've ben far too slack and have spent today catching up and that has meant combining challenges to make my entrants fit more than one.  This one is for the Craft Spot by Kimberly sketch Challenge and the Digi Darla Alphabet Challenge.  Its a lot simpler than what I usually make but it works for me.  My husband and I raise  honeybees so I will use this card to eave  him a nice surprise one day!.

Penguins

Today  it was much too cold to go outside. So I stayed in and played much of the day!  I finished this  cute flock of penguins I started last week with my sister.  She designed the card and made hers  right away.  I had no time to finish them but that's ok I made them today just in time to fit in Catch the Bug's Photo Inspiration challenge. I know I didn't use one of their digitals but they don't  mind.

Winter Fun

What  can be more  fun than  building a snowman on a cold  snowy day?  This  shall be my entry in the QKR stampede Winter Fun Challenge. And  because these Crystal  gems are my favorite Go To Embellishment I  think I shall use it for the Eureka Stamps Favorite Embellishment Challenge as well.

Be Mine

A few days ago m y sister and I started cutting these cards.  Today I finished them. They were a  simple cut and I especially like  how  clean they turned out.  I will be using this card for the Creative Cutting Valentines challenge.

Another Birthday Card

The  color inspiration in Bug A Boo's Birthday Bash is  Pinks and Yellows and  Black. I needed  to make something quick in order to catch up because I've been a  bit  slack this week. I decided a  rocker card would  work real  nicely.

Happy Birthday!

The  Stella  sketch is  running  with the Catch the Bug Birthday Bash.  Some how this isn't one of my favorite cards  but I really was trying to stay away from blue!

One Layer

I am not a  fan of one layer cards  because I am always at a loss  what to do.  I guess im  just not the  simple  kinda  gal. But I say this  piece of card stock the other day  and thought  wow theres a really good  one layer card all I needed to do was  stamp something on it and it  would be great  so here it is. I used the  winter wonderland stamp I  got a few  months ago and  now its done  just in time for the Little Tangles one layer challenge.

Penguin Side step

I'm still working  towards  moving away from Blue! I guess blue is just a good cold  color  and I've used a lot of it!  Today  I made this side step card with  penguins and  an igloo!  it is really cute and I love the tree in the background.  It is  sorta  out of place  because I'm pretty sure there aren't many trees in the  frigid north where  penguins live but I needed something in the background so the  tree just fit there.  It cut real well and looks  good to me! I am using this card in Die Cutting Divas Penguin Awareness Challenge.  And Because I stuck a  wobble behind the Biggest  penguin I wanted to use him as a  unique pet in the Action Wobble Challenge as well.  This  will be the  first time I've entered their challenge and I am not sure how to display the  wobble  but maybe they will understand.I  also have one more entry for the Silhouette Challenges and the 2 Creative Chicks Challenge, both are Anything Goes.

Skating Penguin

Sketch050.jpg
I   think I am really hung up on shades of Blue!  Seems I've used a lot of shades in the last few cards I've made.  Tomorrow I am going to make an effort to use anything color but blue! Meljen Designs challenge this week is a Sticky Situation I combined that with  I {heart} sketches challenge to make this wintery  card. I think I  will also use it for  CAS ual Friday's  Color Block challenge.

Pink on White

Although it is winter and very  cold where I am I see several Challenges for  flowers  so I tried to combine them into one simple card.  Cut it Up is White with a  splash of  color.  Get Inky is Flowers so I cut this  flower with a Sizzix Die then  bent some of the petals up to  give a  more dimensional look to it.  Incy Wincy also has a Flower Frenzy Challenge.

What if Wednesday Sketch

I forgot today was Tuesday and the  What If Wednesday sketch was due! So with 2 hours to get it  done I snapped this one right out!  Probably not my favorite but I like it!  It was nice to pick up a few scrap items off my desk that's never gonna be clean again and put them to good use.

Snow Angel

The  Paper Shelter is a  new site for me!  I adore their cute little  gals!  I couldn't  decide which one to use first because they have so many  I really like.  Anyway! Their challenge this week is  Winter Blues. I think this  cool little gal will  fit right in!

Bug a Boo Birthday Celebration

My sister and I worked on challenges last night for a couple hours.  We are both running behind and just needed to catch  up.   We  chose this cute little mouse and cake image for our cards.  Happy Birthday Bug a Boo.  I have  bling a free space and a cake  on the bingo card.

Bunny with Snowman

Sketch049.jpg
I decided to try the  print and cut feature on my silhouette again!  I keep forgetting how because I don't use it enough. I made this card to fit the I {heart} sketches challenge.  Die Cutting Divas also has a  In with the New and Out with the  Old challenge.  I tried a new technique with the print and cut and also a  new embossing folder.  Then I used some old scrap ribbon that was  on my  desk left over from  gifts I wrapped at Christmas.

Side Step Snowmen

The  challenge at Love to Create is a step card with snowflakes.  I love these two snowmen from Stamping Up so I immediately thought they would make a sweet addition to the embossed  snowflakes swirling around in the background. I think the blues  give it a  frosty feel.   I added  black gems to make the buttons and silver gems in the center of some of the snowflakes.  Then of course I just had to give him a  chenille snowflake to throw at his friend and a few more smaller ones waiting for their turn.  I had so much fun making this card.  Hope everyone enjoys it as much as I  do!  Eureka Stamps  challenge is  Bundle Up.  These adorable snowmen are  bundled up in their scarves and hats. I will  also use this in the 2 Creative Chicks anything goes Challenge and the Silhouette Challenges Anything Goes Challenge.

Blue Snowflake Frame

Qkr Stampede's Challenge this week is Blue and White. I really like how this card turned out.  I saw it in the silhouette online store and had to cut it a couple times to get the snowflakes to come out right.  Then decided to emboss the  card itself to give it more depth.

Valentine Bear

I found a new Challenge site called CASE(E) this sketch and I wanted  to give it a try! I've had several of these print and  cut cupid bears on my desk for a few days  and thought this was a good way to put them to use!

Cup of Tea Snowman

Simon Says' challenge this  week is Emboss it! So I embossed the background for this sweet little snowman.  My sister made a card using him  last week and I really like her card  so I had to make one similar.  Clear it Out also has a  Layers and Designer Paper Challenge I  think this will qualify for. I will also  use it for the Incy Wincy Texture Challenge.

Skating Penguin

Meljen design's Challenge this week is  Bullseye!  Everything needs to be centered.  So here it is! I'm also  going to use this in the Cas-ual Friday   Clean and Simple A word Challenge and since this  penguin is wearing a striped scarf I  am entering him in the Tuesday Throwdown Stripes Challenge.

Valentine Mail

Die  Cutting Divas is a  new site to me and I saw they had a sketch challenge this week.  I love  sketches! I used this  little print and cut bear from Silhouette online  store.  It is the  first thing I've actually printed  and then cut so it was something new for me.  I will use this new print  and cut for the Repeat Impressions New technique or stamp challenge.

Caught Your Heart

I really enjoy the  sketches at I{Heart} sketches.  I used the cat stamp I got From the Heart to finish both challenges.  Instead of  adding a button I added a foamy heart button and  popped it out.  I think it's a  cute  girlie Valentine Card. I plan to use this as a thank you card for the one I miss stamped yesterday, even if it is more  Valentines. I will also enter it in the Clear it Out Thank you and buttons  Challenge.

Hello

A client surprised me with flowers this week for a job well done!   It was a big surprise and  was a much needed pick me up!  I've been so  behind  and feel like I will never get caught up but apparently I am still  doing a good  job.  I made  my  client a quick thank  you card  but  managed to stamp hello on it instead.  Oh well!  it will work!  And it will  work for the Little Tangles thank you challenge that I thought I was  going to miss!

Pink Mitten

I never make the same card twice!  I  usually make  4 of each design so that I have a  couple to give away  and one to keep for my files.  But this darling  little  mitten just screamed to be  pink.  So after I made the blue one I cut  4 more pink ones.  I really like the blue one better after all but the  pink is  cute too.  And I needed something for the Crafty Catz Pink Challenge.

Blue Mitten

I saw this darling  blue mitten in the  Silhouette store and just had to cut it!  It looks so great in  blue, but I  think I am also  going to cut it in pink.  The  blue one is for Eureka's Blue and Bling Challenge and Love to Create's Blue and Bling Challenge.  The  silver leaf I used on the snow flakes doesn't  shine as much in the picture as I had hoped it might but I added  some gems to their centers and to the center of the ribbon.

Snowflake Swoosh

I saw  this  snow flake swoosh card in the silhouette online store.  it caught by eye but I wasn't  sure how it was going to turn out.  It seems a bit plainer than I usually cut. But I added  some embossed snowflakes at the  top and then some  bling to add some  sparkle.  I will use it for the QKR stampede snowflakes and sparkle challenge.

Snow man

I  finally had some time to sit and  create for a  while.  I decided to  cut this cute little snowman card.  I love dimensional cards, so this really  caught my  eye.  It  took some time to cut out all the pieces but I really like  how it  came out.  I originally only  cut out two but I do think I will do more after seeing how  it looks.  There are several challenges I will be using this card for.

Lantern Girl Sketch

Nine days into the New Year and I'm still not caught up! I'm finding it harder and harder to keep  up with all these challenges I want to do.  I did manage to make time to complete this card I started before Christmas and never  finished.  I made it fit the Sketch Saturday #291 so I could atleast enter it  somewhere. I used a  Glitter  Pen on the lantern and but You cant  see it too well in this picture.  I will enter it  in the Glitter N'Sparkle anything goes  challenge and  hope that they let it stay. C.r.a.f.t challenges also  had a Christmas Challenge that this will fit into.

Purple Warm Cocoa Wishes

Every month Imagine That has a progressive challenge.  If you complete the month's challenge you get the next month's image  for free.  I love all of the  freebies I have received so far.  I always try to get the card done early  so I don't forget.  Today I combined the image with the Saturday Sketch Challenge.
