Dog Rocker Step Card

Today on  a new site, I saw this  darling  rocker step card.  I waited til  my sister  got home so we  could look for the pattern on line.  We  found 9 or  10 other patterns on the  site  where we found this but I wasn't  quick enough  to  bookmark it so we could go back later.  I  will  probably  be using this  pattern a lot with different images on it.

I will be using this for  Action wobbles- Print and Cut.

Conversation Hearts

Sketch053.jpgI'm  running late with this post.  Here in the not so  sunny  South we have had  bad weather.  First we  had  snow (which never happens) then  a week later we had the worse ice storm the state has ever seen and of course the area  I live in was  the very worse. I was without power for 3 days and here it is the 5th day and some people still  do not have  power. That was Tuesday  Thru Friday.  Then Friday low and  behold  we had an earthquake! That  has Never  happened as  far as I can remember.  But today guess what?  It was 76 degrees outside, not a cloud in the sky.  Simply  beautiful but-- we had the  aftershocks  from the  earthquake.  Simply amazing.
Anyway all that being  said I  had this laying on my desk to post last week  before all the  delays.  Then I almost forgot.  This is my entry in the I {heart} sketch 53 challenge.

Elephant Box

My sister and I found the darling little  elephant belly box at My Scrap Chick! He went together so easy.  I think he  s just too cute.  It is my plan to use him for the  Silhouette Challenges  Boxes Challenge.

Pop Up Heart

Tonight my sister and I wanted  to make something  fun.  my week has been very stressful this week and I  just needed to relax.  We started cutting the inside of the card and it looked great but then we had to find something for the outside that really fit. I am using this card for several challenges listed  below:
QKR Stampede                              Love to Create                 Get Inky
Cut It Up                                        Glittern'Sparkle                Little Tangles
Eureka Stamps                               Crafty Catz

Sympathy

A friend lost both her mother and father this  past week. So I needed to make a sympathy card for her.  I wasn't  quite sure what to do but I saw this Calla  Lily card and  thought I'd  give it a try.  I will also use it in the C.r.a.f.t Challenges get well/sympathy/sorry Challenge.

Nikki's Birthday

My daughter's Birthday is on Valentines Day.  I simply  refuse to combine the  two events so she has to have a Birthday Card as well as a  Valentine's card.  This one is for her  33rd Birthday! And since Sweet and Sassy has a number challenge I shall use it there and Eureka has a Red, White and Pink Challenge.  I don't think the little bit of pale green will hurt that too much.  Simon Says challenge is  use hearts.

Girl on Snowy Log

I simply love  the  sweet  little gals  from papershelter.  There are so many  sweet images there.  This sketch is from Sketch Saturday.    Party Time Tuesday has a color challenge that  this will also work in. I'm also  entering this really  girlie card in the Color Me Creative Challenge for alcohol marker users.

Pretty in Pink

My sister  showed me this new  challenge site this week.  I guess she thinks I have too much free time! Well she would be very much wrong. But anyway this is my  first entry in  the challenge at Chocolate, Coffee and cards.  I added a couple  buttons to the sketch so that I could also use it for GlitternSparkles Button challenge.

Cluster of Hearts

The  challenge at Creative Cutting is Valentine so I'm using this  Card  I  found at  Silhouette on line and added the mouse from Meljen Designs. Scrappy Moms is a  new challenge site my sister showed me so I am entering it for the first time.

Owl in Tree

The  challenge at Cut It up is Through the  Woods.  This owl  immediately came to mind.  He is a Stamping Up Punch and I haven't used him in a  while.

Love is Sweet

The challenge at Meljen Designs this week is a 30 min card.  So I needed something  quick.  I cut this shaped card from the Silhouette Store and added the digital.  even with coloring time  I made it in 18 min.  Little Miss Muffett also  has a Valentine challenge. I  usually use her designs but  I didn't have anything to use  for Valentines without buying something else.  I'm working hard at using what I have rather  than  buying more things.

A little birdie

The  progressive challenge at From the heart is the cute little bird wishing everyone a happy birthday.  I thought he's  look really sweet on this  simple rocker card.  I made him in  several  colors and used a lot of my scraps which is always a  good thing.  Love to Create also has a birthday themed  challenge to celebrate their  2nd birthday! Silhouette Online's Challenge this week is  encouraging people to try something new.   My  something new is printing  on printed paper  for this rocker card.  I guess it never  dawned  on me to put my print paper in the print  paper and use that instead of so much coloring!

Cup of Cocoa

I  saw this  little guy on the Paper Shelter  site and was determined to find him a  good home.  I was running out of time for the all wrapped up challenge so I  chose this  cup shaped card from the Silhouette Online Store.  It went together pretty  quickly.  Curtain Call also has a challenge  called Cup of Cocoa. Digi Darla has a challenge for My personal style.  I like  simple and cute  cards.

Warm Winter Wishes

I love   odd shaped cards!  This one is  so cute I could  hardly wait to  cut him when I first saw him.  He went together so easily .  Once again I used my paint chip to cut the words  because sometimes I  find it difficult to cut  words that fine out.  Im using this card  for my  Die Cutting Divas Challenge. And  Catch the Bug has an Anything Goes Challenge.

Frosty the Snowman

Still working towards  cleaning off my desk!  My sister used this  frosty little guy a few weeks ago and I loved him so I printed a couple of them.  They've been laying patiently on my desk waiting for their new  home.  This was a sketch from someplace  but I forget where now. It worked real nicely for this card. I intend to use it for the Clear It Out Blues Challenge.

Wine Bottle

2 Creative Chicks is trying to add new things to their challenges.  This month it is repurposed  glass.  I knew  right away I had the perfect thing.  A while ago I was at a craft show and saw some really  neat wine bottles turned into candle holders.  First you must master the art of cutting the  bottom of the  bottle off.  It took some time to get it right without cracking the bottle but after  doing  a few  I learned the secret to doing it.  The  u  slide a typical egg whisk into the  bottle with the handle sticking thru the neck of the bottle. this will   hold your candle.  It is ok to use either a battery  powered candle or a real tealight.  Then You can  paint an image or Use your  Silhouette to cut out an image for the outside of your bottle.  I made several of these  and gave them as  gifts.  It was  not my original idea but one I saw and  thought was great!

Unassembled Snowmen

I really don't like doing one layered cards. But I was determined to give it a try and it gave me a chance to use this  new stamp my son bought me.  We had quite a few  unassembled snowmen in my  yard earlier this week so it seemed appropriate. I'm using this for the challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.

Umbrella Bear

Love to create has a sketch challenge this week so I  printed this darling little  bear from the Silhouette online store to use on it.  Crafty Catz has an Anything Goes Challenge.  I've made so many Valentine Cards already but there are still a few things I want to do.  Party Time Tuesday also has an Anything Goes Challenge.

Winter love card

I'm really  gonna try and stay on track this month with all these  challenges.  The  best solution I can come up with is to  combine as many as possible.  This really sweet image from Imagine That is the freebie for the progressive challenge this month.  I was  excited to see it and  couldn't wait to get it done.  I decided to use the sketch #51 at I{heart} sketches.  The  to meet the requirements at Craftspot by Kimberly I chose to use  heart shaped  polka dots to emboss  my card and polka dot paper as well.  Then  Simon Says Stamps Challenge  is  twine or string  so I used a button heart and a red variegated twine. Also QKRStampede has an Anything Goes Challenge. C.r.a.f.t. Challenges has Valentines Challenge for which I will also use this card.Sketch051.jpg
