Winter Blues

It is  so cold here today.  So I decided to cut this  quick  winter card for the Gem of  A  Challenge Blue challenge. Catch the Bug also has a Winter themed challenge.  Crafting From the Heart has an Anything Goes Challenge.

Melody's New Baby

Today I'm  striking things off my  To Do List.  In a few days I will need a card for my friend, Melody,  who is expecting her third baby.  Both 613 Avenue Create and Crafty Sentiments have a  Something New Challenge.  {Pin}spirational Challenges has a Baby challenge.

Harriette's Tag

My friend, Harriette, has a birthday next week.  She really likes to sew and  has recently started a new  quilt.  For her birthday I decided to get her some  sewing items I knew she needed.  The challenge at Simon says Monday inspired me to make my own tag rather than use a  store bought one.   I don't usually  take the time to make my own tags except at  Christmas so  maybe this  will inspire  me to  make others.

Think Snow

It has been a  cold and wet couple of days.  There is no chance that we will get  snow but It is nice to think about.  I had a  couple hours to play last night  so I made snow flake cards.  I used   a snowflake die to cut extra  snow flakes for this card. I thought it needed a little something extra to  give it some shine.

Cute Girl

While  I was  cleaning off my desk I found this cute little gal I colored  several months ago.  So I decided  rather than store her away til later I'd use her in the  Tuesday Morning Sketch this week.  I used  several scraps that  were also hiding on my desk.  Maybe I might actually get it  cleaned off today!.  Crafty Calendar Challenges and Tuesday Morning Throw Down both have Anything Goes Challenges.

Wishing Well

Today is a  dull dreary wet and cold  day here.  The  house is  quiet and I thought I'd have plenty of time to be creative and get some  projects done, but  the head  just wasn't  into it.  I started out with the  sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  Those are usually  great inspiration to get me started.  Seems today I needed  a bigger  push.  Simon Says Monday has a  Bird Challenge.  So that  gave me another idea to work towards.  I guess I needed  bright and cheerful because this is what I came up with.
Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges and Through the Craft Room Door both have an Anything Goes theme this week.

Sam's Birthday

Seize the Birthday is one of my favorite Challenges.  They have an Anything Goes Challenge.  I needed this card  for  a friend's birthday  later this month. I used the sketch at MFT Challenges for my design. Simon Says Wednesday has  a patterned paper challenge.  Catch the  Bug has a  Birthday Celebration  going on.  The theme for Day 1  was  Bold and Bright. This  should fit  right in.  A  Gem of a Challenge has a Happy Anything Theme.  Cards TV  has an Anything Goes Challenge.

Bear Swing Card

Casual Friday Challenges has a Glitter  Challenge.   I  just  love the POP this silver  glitter  gives this card.  I will be making more of these real soon.  This  stamp set is from Lawn fawn and I already have the bears cut for other projects I hope to get to today.

Embossed Conversation Hearts

The  sketch at Freshly Made Sketches was my inspiration to finally use this sweet conversation  heart  embossing folder.  I thought it was perfect.  Fab n' Funky has a Let's Be Happy Challenge.  Creative Knockouts has an Anything Goes Challenge.

Double easel card

It's a little early for me to be thinking about Valentines Day but when I saw this double easel card in the Silhouette Store I knew I would try it real soon.  I really like how this worked out.  Just too cute! City Crafter has an All You Need is Love Challenge  I think this should  work quite nicely in. Tuesday Throw Down  has  a Layer it on challenge.  this project  has more than 6 layers on it.  Word art Wednesday and As You Like It Challenges both have Anything  Goes as their theme for the week.

All Wrapped Up

Well, much to my amazement I was able to  squeeze a  few more  minutes of playtime today.  I'm sticking to the easy stuff today because of the limited time.  I saw this  sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches and thought it  would be a  good fit  for this Whimsie Doodle image that's been  laying on my  desk  since probably last winter.  She is just so cute!    Whimsie Doodle has an All Wrapped Up Challenge.  Through the Craft Room Door  and Inspiration Destination both have an Anything Goes Challenge ending soon.

Hug

Just had a few minutes to play this morning before the  kids take over the day.  I made this  quick card for a friend who just needs a  pick me up.  It also fits right in with the Casology   Hug challenge and the CAS on Sunday Love Challenge

Birch Trees

Ok, so I managed to make two posts for today.  Grandkids are still sleeping and I'm taking full advantage of the  quietness in my house.  Over the Christmas Holiday  I purchased this birch tree die.  I've loved it for a long time but kept putting off buying it.    Now it is in my possession so I am sure you will see a lot of it in the next few weeks. 

Today I'd like to enter  this card in the Dies R US Anything Goes Challenge.  Penny's Paper Crafty Challenges also has an Anything Goes Challenge.

Hi

I  was really  rather shocked that I haven't posted anything  since  October.  Where  did all those months go?  Well, I've been spending  time with my Grandkids instead of playing with paper.  I do love those kids but I am  going to make a  bigger  effort to make  Paper Play time too. 

I'm not a real fan of square cards because it does cost more to mail them and you need special envelopes as well.  But I saw this cute image at Catch the Bug and knew I would use it soon.  It is rainy and wet  here today so I thought this might brighten my day  just a bit.

I used  the sketch from  Sketch Saturday.  I don't always know where I want to go with a layout so it helps  to have  sketches to look at.  I did manage  quite by accident to use only my  3 favorite colors which fits in to the  Hiding in My Craft Room's monthly challenge.

There are  also several Anything Goes Challenges I will use this  card in.
