Flappy Birthday

It is a  cold, wet, dreary  day here in SC and I needed something to brighten my day!  I thought  surely these  colorful little bird guys could do the job! I used bright  colors instead of their normal yellows.  These guys are from  From the Heart Stamps.  Each time you enter their monthly challenge you get a $1 discount on one of their images. 

Scarecrow

Instead of scaring the crows away he has  made friends!  This card was really hard to cut because of the shape f the leaves.  They look  a little  rough around the edges but I will make it work this time and  see if I can make it better next time.  This is from Imagine That and I will use this card in their Progressive challenge.  And since I used my  Spectrum markers to color this little guy and his friend I will also  enter this into their friends Challenge.  Creative Fingers also has an Anything Goes Challenge. Crafting Station and Jelly Park Friday both have fall  Challenges.

The markers I used are  Dr5  for his patches
LV3for his hands and  collar   ( it appears  dark blue in the pic)

GB7 for his hair and  straw

Tea Time

I  simply love the  images at The Paper Shelter, but sometimes I  find it  is  better to print   them  colored rather  than try and  color their  tiny details.  The  Challenge at Paper Shelter is a card with many folds. The  challenge at Penny's Challenges is Spots and Stripes.  Word Art Wednesday has an  Anything Goes Challenge.

Baby

The Challenge at {Pin}spirational is a sleeping  baby.   I don't  need a  baby card now but will before  Christmas so I went ahead and did this card  for the challenge.  This came from Silhouette Online Store and it cut really nicely.

Jessie's Birthday

Tomorrow is my Sweet Jess' Birthday!  I made her this  purple sparkly card because is a  girlie girl and loves purple.  Silver foiled letters to  say  Happy Birthday and  shiny  glitter on the frosting make it  look all yummy!   Happy Birthday Jess!  I will also use this for the Cut it Up Birthday challenge.  Brown Sugar has  an Anything Goes Challenge.

Christmas Ornaments

I am so not  ready to even begin thinking about  Christmas!  I cant even focus on Fall and Halloween yet  but its coming so I might as well move on with it!  The  Challenge at Crafty Sentiments is Christmas in September. I chose to cut this beauty from the Silhouette Online store. I first cut it in  red but the paper wasn't a good  quality and I had  trouble with the  cut. So then I decided it might be  nice in white with the red in the  background.  I will probably use this  pattern several more times  because it  looks so elegant.  A2zScrapbooking  and Crafting By Design also  have a Christmas  themed challenge

Mouse with Pumpkin

I bought this  little mouse and his  pumpkin from the Silhouette Online  store.  I  just love their Print and  Cut  feature for those times when you just don't feel up to coloring or are pushed for time.  The white background left the card  kinda  blah to me but I wasn't sure what else to put to make the fall leaves shine in the background.  This sketch came from Sugar Pea Designs and is this weeks challenge.  Simon Says Wednesday's Challenge is Anything Goes. A2Z Scrapbooking's Challenge is Fall or Christmas.  Im  not  quite ready for Christmas yet!  Repeat Impressions Challenge this month is also Fall.

white on white flowers

I pinned a  card similar to this on Pinterest  many months ago. I decided tonight to make it for the Craft your Passion I can see clearly challenge. it is hard to see but my  flowers were cut from  vellum and gently  colored with white  around the  edges.  I  will be  making more of  these to have on  hand when they are needed. 

Raking Leaves

These  cute little  bird brains at From the Heart are at it again!  This  picture isn't very clear for some reason and  I will  try to repost a better  picture  soon but I am trying to meet the deadline now I {heart} Sketches.   You cant  tell  a lot but I punched leaves from a shiny foil  paper to give them more  shine and  to be my home made  embellishment.  I  will  try to make the next picture  show them better.  Crafty Girls is Anything Goes as  always.  Creative Cutting  and  SugarPea Designs is Fall.

Love you Much

Sometimes cards  don't hafta take a lot of  time or be complicated to be  sweet!  I really like this CAS card. I think it  fits perfectly in the CASology flutter challenge.  City Crafter has a Focus on Sentiment Challenge.  Cute Card Thursday has a Dies and Punches Challenge. Crafting When we Can is  NO  designer paper.

Sunflowers and Pumpkins

I've returned from a week's vacation and trying to get back in crafty mode.  I feel like I'm so behind  so I'm really gonna hafta work hard to get caught up! I want to use this for several challenges this week.

Butterfly tag

To make this tag for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge  I chose to keep it simple. I stamped the  tiny butterfly and colored him with color  pencils instead of ink. then added the darker pink ribbon across the bottom. I decided to use shades of pink (mauve) and a slight hint of teal to fit in the Brown Sugar Color Challenge. Sweet Stampin has a ribbons and Bows  Challenge.

Birthday Cake

I remembered I needed a  quick Birthday card for tomorrows mail.  The challenge at  A Gem of a Challenge is Birthdays,  Glitter N' Sparkle is Pink, and Cupcake Inspirations is Pink around  town Well surely  every town has a cake shop!  Cuttlebug Mania is  Die Cuts.  The  cake plate is a  die from Memory Box I think.  In the Pink has a Sparkle and Bling Challenge.  Three Girl Jam challenges is a  Birthday theme.

Treasure Map

I made this card a few days ago and forgot to post it in the Meljen Designs Weekend mini Challenge.  I've had a busy weekend  and the rest of the week looks  even busier.  I just love this embossing folder with the anchors.  I use it  a lot.  I am using it in the Penny's Challenge Embossing Challenge.  Mark's Finest Paper has a Masculine/Navy Challenge.  Crafting from the Heart  is always Anything Goes

Bird Friends

This  little sweetie  has been  laying around for  a  while now but tonight She found her  home on this bright colorful diagonal striped card.  She will be  going to say Hello to my friend in tomorrow's mail.  Tonight I will enter in the City Crafter Diagonal Challenge.  Crafting Station,  Scribble and Scrap  and Word Art Wednesday all have Anything Goes Challenges.   Crafting by Designs has a Childhood memories Challenge.  Di's Digitals has a Stripes or Plaids Challenge. I spent a lot of my  childhood outside making friends all  of  all God's tiny creatures.  I'm going to be out of town next week so am trying to combine as many challenges as I can so I'm not totally  behind when I return next week.

Harvest

I've stamped this card so many times and just cant see where it needs anything but a few embezzlements to make it  shine.  I bought this stamp at convention a  couple years ago but can remember who it is by and it isn't  labeled.  It is one of my  fall favorites because it colors so well.  Today I decided a  simple piece of twine and a  leave were enough to dress it up a bit.  You cant really tell from this picture but I also popped the pumpkin and crow out and  sprinkled a little glitter on the white  pumpkins and on the wheat tassels.

Cat tails

This card has been sitting in my to do basket for  probably a year.  Finally, today I decided it was time to put them together.  I want to use it for the CASology Grass challenge.

Kraft and Lime

Today I needed something that required very little  brain work.  Seems  my brain is in overload and needed time off. So I chose this simple card from the Silhouette Online store and put it together for the Cupcake Inspirations' Kraft lime and gold Challenge.  It is a lot plainer than what I usually  come up with but that's ok!  Artistic Inspiration's Challenge is Anything Goes/Bling.  I  think the  Gold paper and the  big  gem in the center is  definitely  bling.

Sleepy

This   little gal  looks so dreamy  resting  peacefully on  the mushroom.  The challenge at Sweet Stampin is  Spots and Stripes. I chose the  soft spots to surround her and the  bright stripes  for the background.  I really like the contract of the  two.  Love to Create's Challenge is  Stripes.  Clear It Out's Challenge is Polka Dots.  Wednesday's  Inspiration's Challenge is Going Dotty.  The   Blue  striped ribbon at the  bottom gives it a  complete look and  will make it  eligible for The Paper Shelter ribbon, Floss or twine  Challenge.

Bamboo

The  Challenge at Addicted to  CAS this week was  Oriental.  This isn't  something I would ordinarily be interested in trying but I saw this cute bamboo card  in the silhouette online store and thought I might give it a try.  Crafting from the Heart is always an  Anything Goes Challenge.

Fall bucket

My friend Jeff  does  Barbeque Cook Offs.  Next week we are travelling with him to Myrtle Beach to camp all week and compete in several  cook-offs.  These events are  very similar to county fairs  and have arts and crafts, ride attractions, and other displays.  I made this for  our table display!  It started  out being  just  fall items but since it was a barbeque I had to add a few  pigs.  I want to use this for the county fair challenge at Mark's Finest Papers!  It was  such  fun to put together!  Creative  Cutting, Crafty Girls, and  Creative Fingers all have an Anything Goes Challenge. Cute Card Thursday has an Awesome Autumn Challenge.  Delightful Sketches has a Fall Color  Challenge as well.

Red Hatter

For  the sketch at Saturday Sketch I decided this  little gal in her red had  would be perfect.  I embossed the side  panel with a vintage  quilt pattern folder.  It needed something special to dress it up a bit.The  Challenge at  Chocolate, Coffee and Cards is Vintage.  Hope this  will work for that as well.  Treasured Times Rubber Stamps has an Anything Goes Challenge.

Pink Butterflies

The  challenge at In the Pink is  buttons and bows!  My sister cut this card last week but I was  busy and  didn't  make one.  So this  week I thought this would be perfect for the In the Pink Challenge.  Creative Fingers is Anything Goes/Shimmers and Glimmers.  You cant tell to much from this picture but there is a slight  glittery tint to the pink background paper and the  tiny gems on the butterflies  does  give it a  certain glimmer.  Glitter and Sparkle's Challenge is Punches. 

Favorite Country

The Challenge at Cut It Up is International Peace Day.  They asked that you made a card  using the  colors of any country  which you would like to visit.  Well I've always dreamt of visiting Switzerland so  choosing  colors was easy for me since  their  colors are the same as the USA.  Brown Sugar Challenges also  has a Celebrate Challenge so this  card  should  fit  right in there.  Crafty Girls has an Anything Goes Challenge

Racoons

These little guys from The Paper Shelter are too cute playing in the  fall leaves and flowers!  I embossed the strip behind them with more fall leaves so that it would work in the Paper Shelter Embossing Challenge.  There is a faint  stitching line around the image to make it work in the Penny's Paper Challenge. The sketch came from Wednesday's Creative Inspiration.

Meljen's Happy Cupcake

Meljen Designs has  a  mini weekend  challenge. Meljen Designs Challenge this week is Laugh Out Loud!  That's  what I wnted to do when I first saw this little cupcake.. I wasn't sure  what to do with this little guy but decided he would fit nicely in the Crafty Creations Sketch Challenge.  Well the sketch worked out so nicely for the Tuesday Throw Down Recipe Challenge. 1 image 2 Papers and 3  flowers.  Then I decided  since it was all teal it would work for the Pinspirational Challenge too!

Pumpkin wagon

I saw this little wagon at SVG Cutting Files and really thought it was  cute.  Mine did not look as  cute as the one in the picture but I will try it again.  All the  same I am entering it in the SVG  Cutting files Fall Challenge.

Butterflies

I wasn't real sure how this was going to look  but I wanted to use this card for several challenges.  City Crafter's Challenges I  Butterflies so that  gave me the first element.  Just Add Ink's challenge is  Black, teal and  yellow, those  sounded like good  butterfly colors.  Fan-Tastic Tuesday is anything Goes/Add a  Button. I just happened to have a  small  yellow  butterfly shaped  button to add to the corner.

Three

These  3  bright pink  flowers  wish everyone  a happy  hello!   I want to  enter them into the CASology three challenge and Clear It Outs fancy fold and dies.  Papertake Weekly has  a repeat repeat challenge and there is a lot of repetition on this. Delightful Sketches also has a Clean and Simple Challenge. 613 Avenue Create has an Anything Goes Challenge.

Scarecrow Rocker

This  little scarecrow is from Eureka and I thought he  was  cute dancing in the fall  leaves.  Artistic Inspiration is anything goes/ around and around. Eureka Stamps is  to use one of their digis. Craft Your passion is around in circles.  Milk coffee Challenges is Fall.

Bugs

I've used this little guys several times lately.  So many of  my  digis are  girls so I've been tryingto  get a few more guys in.  This  little guy is too sweet with his little lady bug friends.  This  sketch is  from Little Tangles.  Cute Card Thursday 's challenge is  too cute! 

Clemson

The unthinkable has happened!  I am so  tired of  coloring this little gal  pink and  green or blue and yellow.   Today  I gave up fighting the  urge to color orange and purple.  That  color combination is not ever  allowed in my house but today im breaking the rules.  I used the sketch from Sketch and stash for this  little gal. I just now  noticed I forgot the sentiment  but maybe they will over look that  just this once. Crafty Sentiments' Challenge is Spots and Stripes. Sweet Stampin's Challenge is Stripes and  Spots.

Non traditional fall colors

I tried a little something  different for this  fall card.  I think  I'm not  quite ready for  fall  yet  so I'm still using bright  colors.  This  sketch is from Peachy Keen.   I  embossed  three  layers with fall items.  Then  added the basket of  apples.  Screams fall to me but in a different color.  Simons Says Monday is  still STAMP tember!  Crafting From the  Heart is always Anything Goes

Swinging

The  Sketch at Digi Sketch was  very hard for me to follow. So I went with the optional theme and  followed the  sketch as  best I could.  Marker Pop has an anything goes challenge.

Good Morning!   This  card did not turn out nearly as I had planned  it.  The paper in the file was  hard to cut so I ended  up using an actual  sheet of  first grade print paper. There  were other issues with cutting but I  worked thru them and this is the end result.  I will  use this in the  following Challenges:

There's  certainly  plenty of glitter and sparkle on this  quick and easy friends card.  I will be sending it to a friend  I haven't heard from in a  long while and I will use it in the Mark's Finest Paper friends challenge. and the Cuttlebug Mania Embossing challenge.  Craftin from the Heart has an anything Goes Challenge

Mom

This  bright pink little gal will be going to my Mother real  soon just to remind her how much I care about her.  I will also  use her in the Delightful Challenges  no squares challenge and the Brown Sugar  lace  Challenge.  Glittern Sparkle has  Use a digi  Challenge.

Fall rake

The challenge at Curtain Call is leaves.  I bought this little rake card from the Silhouette Online store yesterday and  knew it would be perfect.  Most of it  cut really well except the leaves.  I had trouble cutting them  maybe because they were  small.  Die Cutting Divas' Challenge is Fall.  Sweet Stampin's  challenge is outdoors.

Blue ad Green

This   little  Polka  Dot  is  all dressed in  Blue and Green  for the challenge at Little Miss  Muffet Designs.  Blue and Green is always one of  my favorite  fall back  combinations.  I borrowed a sketch from Sketch Saturday to complete this card.  ABC Challenges is  Shabby Chic.  This  little gal looks  pretty shabby to me!  Craftin Desert Divas has an Anything Goes Challenge. Crafting When We Can has a  Borrow a sketch challenge.  Seeing as I borrowed this sketch from Sketch Saturday that  oughta work.

Dad

dad's everywhere  need to   know they are loved all the  time  not  just one day a year.  I'm sending this one to my Dad as a fun little e reminder.  I will also  use it  in the Just Add Ink - Dad's Challenge.

Rainbows of Color

This  little gal from The Paper Shelter has a  rainbow of  color both in her  Summertime arrangement and behind  her.  and bright  shiny  silver star for her award winning arrangement.

Yellow Vellum Flowers

One more card for today then Im heading outside to enjoy this much cooler weather we have today!  This card was almost a disaster.  Just as I was  gluing my gems in place the top  came off my Martha Stewart Glue!  This is the second time this glue has almost ruined a project for  me so in the  trash it shall go!  The flowers were cut from white and  yellow Vellum.  The  white  are very  soft and dainty although it is hard to see that in this picture.  The  Yellow  one would have been  soft and pretty if  the glue  hadn't  spilled out on it.  Now the  yellow vellum has a  nice  shiny  coat  of  glue on it.  It isn't a bad look just not what I expected.  I'm using this card for the City Crafter Vellum challenge and  the Repeat Impressions Birthday  challenge

Pencil Mouse

I   printed  too many of these  cute little mice.  So now I'm using them in another challenge. I hope you are not tired of seeing her already. I promise this one is the last  one with her for a while.  I used the What If Wednesday Sketch for this one.  Simon Says  Wednesday is Anything Goes

BABY

Still  trying to catch up on some of the challenges I should have  done all weekend  but didn't.  This  cute little  guy is  going to be used in the Tuesday Throwdown  baby challenge and the Die Cutting Divas Sketch challenge.  I stretched the sketch a little  so it would fit on my card but I think you can see  I followed  it enough.  Penny's Challenge is always  Anything Goes.  Papertake Weekly and  Fan-Tastic Tuesday also have anything goes challenges.

Gameday Bird Brains

Saturdays starting  the end of  August til November are definitely game days!  I do  not like  football  but  wish its  season lasted longer.  All of my gang goes to the games and I get to stay home in the peace and quiet.  That makes more  time for me to do as I please.  These   cute  little guys are  all dressed in game gear for their favorite team!  They are part of the From the Heart Bird brain  Collection.  I will  use them in the I {heart} Sketches Challenge #78 and  in the  Blog Hop!  I am recycling  Paint  Chips I used to paint my  sons  room!
