Hyacinth

It's been a really long time since I have been able to post  a challenge.  Today I found a  few minutes so Of course I turned to one of my favorite sketch challenges for inspiration.  I used Sketch Saturday but instead of an oval for my image I chose a rectangle. I think it  will still work.  Both Cards TV and Jos' Scrap Shack have Anything Goes Challenges.  That's it for  tonight but maybe I will be back  soon with more challenges.

Happy Mother's Day

Mother's Day is Sunday and I managed to get several of these made  just in time.  It seems I've really been  running behind lately. I love this bright cheerful card and I hope all the mothers I sent one to  will enjoy it as well.

Thinking of you

Today I used the  sketch at Freshly Made Sketches to make this card.  I love all things beach.  So this set of stamps from  Art Impressions was a must have. Art Impressions has a circles challenge. This is not  their intended  use but it is what I had time to make today.  Soon you  will see it in the correct layout.  As You Like It challenges has a favorite  coloring median.  I really enjoy  using my Spectrum markers for all my coloring needs.

Monster

This  little guy made me laugh when I saw him.  I immediately knew he needed to be green and  some other bright colors.  The  silvery looking colors are actually a metallic purple. ( Just another camera malfunction). I am sure my little Grandson will get a kick out of this little guy too! I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  Fab N Funky has a Fantasy or Fairytale Challenge. Honey Bear

My husband and I raise bees for their honey. So naturally whenever I see Bee  images I can't wait to use them.  This cute set is from Stamping Up.  I will be using it  more real soon. Tonight I'm using it for both the  Cards TV and Word Art Wednesday  Anything Goes challenge.  Give a Crafter a Cookie has Bees as their theme this month as well.

Today  I used the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches to make this sweet card.  It  didn't turn out  quite the way I planned but I used scraps from my desk  rather than getting out something else.  Crafty Sentiments has a For Girls Only challenge.  Hiding in My Craft Room has a Scraps Challenge.

Believe

I have a friend who graduates from college  in a  few weeks.  She's  lacking a bit of confidence right now and  is very unsure about where life leads her  next.  I thought this quick card might give her a bit of a confidence boost.  Also, Casology has  Believe as their Cue Word.  Through the Craft Room Door and Crafting From the Heart both have an Anything Goes Challenge.

A quick Birthday card to start off the day!  Today I used the sketch and color scheme from Your Next Stamp.  A Gem of a Challenge has a Female Birthday with a  sentiment challenge.  I grabbed my rectangle die that was still laying on my desk and cut the image and the background  so I can use this for the Dies R Us Anything Goes Challenge.  Jo's Scrap Shack and Catch the Bug Both have Anything Goes Challenges.  Aud Sentiments also has a Birthday with Sentiment challenge.

Wild About You

One more for  tonight and I'm  calling it a night.  It's been a long tiring day and tomorrow doesn't look much better.  MFT Challenges has a  color challenge that I used for this card.  It sorta seems this card is missing something but I cant' quite decide what to add to it.  CardsTV , Creative Knockouts and Cute Card Thursday all have Anything Goes challenges.

Tonight I finally had sometime to sit and play for a bit.   I chose to use  the Stella Says Sketch as my layout.  Just Add Ink has a color challenge.  My colors didn't show up exactly what they had but should be close enough.  Simon Says Wednesday has a Happy Birthday themed challenge.  Inspiration Destination, Cards TV and Cute Card Thursday all have Anything Goes Challenges.

I really wasn't sure what to do for the clue word at CASOLOGY. But then I saw this  cute  quote in the silhouette store and it seemed to fir perfectly.  I will be sending this to my friend  Myra who does exactly what the card suggests. Birds Soar

I'm rally hating this shadow that keeps appearing in my pictures.  I'm not sure where  it is coming from but I am determined to lose it real soon.  I made this card from a quote from William Blake.  If you really think about what it says, one will figure out why it is so important .  I used the sketch from Cas(e) this Sketch because the sentiment is profound enough to not need anything  added to this card.  Jo's Scrap Shack has an Anything Goes challenge.  I love using scraps to complete a project even if it  is just a scrap of white.  Crafty Sentiments and Crafty Creations both have Anything Goes Challenges.

Easter Bunny Trio

I printed this  image  a lot bigger than I first intended  do I had to keep the card fairly  simple.  CAS on Friday  and Cut It Up both have an Easter theme.  I used Sketch #506 from Sketch Saturday.  Give a Crafter a Cookie has an Easter Critter challenge. I used my Spellbinder nested rectangles for this as well.  Little Miss Muffett has an Anything Goes challenge. Simon Says Monday has  a Use a trio of Something challenge.

Quilt Square

It has been  quite a few days since I have been able to post anything.  Life just  seems to continuously get in the way of my play time.  Tonight I took the time to finally make this quilt square card.  I really like how these turn out.  It does take some time to  get all the small pieces in just the right place.  Brown Sugar Challenges has a  Spring or Easter Challenge.  I think these colors will work for either.  Simon SaysWednesday and CardsTV both have Anything Goes Challenges.  Cute Card Thursday has an Add a Quote challenge.  I am sure  you will be seeing more of these in the near future.

Easter Chicks

I know everybody loves the Easter Bunny but my favorite is still the tiny yellow chicks.  There  cute candy holders are  quick to make and add a little something extra to my Grandkids Easter Baskets.  As You Like It has  a Favorite Easter character challenge.  Cute Card Thursday and  A Gem of a Challenge both have An Easter Challenge.  Cards Tv and Jo's Scrap Shack both have anything goes challenges.

Perfect Nap

Today I chose this sweet image with the sleeping  child and elephant.  I prefer  cooler colors over  hot ones any day.  Maybe its something to do with the oppressive heat  we have here in the South.  The Paper Shelter has a Hot or Cold Color Challenge.  Fab  N' Funky has an Anything but Square challenge.

I made this  card last week and forgot to post it.  I used the sketch from MFT Sketches.  I really enjoy their sketches  to get me headed in theright direction.

Easter Garland

This sweet gal  is from Whimsie Doodle. I sure will miss them when they are gone.  Today I used the sketch from MFT Card Challenges.  Simon Says Wednesday has a  Girl Power challenge. Just Add Ink  has a Water Color wonder challenge.  I used my new water color pens to  color this little gal.

Bunny Basket

Today I received a new set of markers.  Nothing fancy but I thought while they were out I'd give them a try.  I'm a little disappointed in some of the color shades but I will probably use them again.  Just because this is a Dies R Us Challenge I used my nesting squares to cut the background for the image and the image piece and of course I had to use my cuttlebug.  Their challenge is to use pastels. Cuttlebug Mania has a  Ribbon and bows challenge.  Paper Shelter has a Spring Challenge. I usually  like to use one of their images for the  challenge but that's not  happening this time.

Birthday Brew

This darling kitty is  from  Newton' Nook.  I have a friend whose  birthday is next week. I plan  on getting her a Starbucks gift card to go inside this card.  I tried to color the kitten similar to her  cat.

Today I was in a coloring  mood.  I had time to do a little something but not a lot so this seemed to work.  CAS Friday has a One Layer Wonder challenge. That's not usually my style but it fit for today.

Today I learned that one of my favorite digital stamp companies is closing.  Whimsie Doodle  will close on March 16.  While looking for any images I might need to get before they close I saw this cute gardening gal.  I knew she  would fit  right into the  Simon Says Monday Challenge.  I used the sketch from MFT Sketches.  Crafty Sentiments and  Cute Card Thursday both have anything Goes Challenges.

A few weeks ago my sister sent me a picture of this card  she was  making for Christmas next year.  I really like the design of it.  It took a while to cut all the pieces but in the end it was well worth it. Easter Ornament

For the Die Cutting Divas  Anything But a Card Challenge I chose these sweet Easter Ornaments.  I used several dies to make this all come out right. The stamp set is from Art Gone Wild.  They  have several different  styles of this circle stamp.  I am sure I will be  getting more.  Crafty Creations and One Crazy Stamper both have an Anything Goes Challenge.

Hoppy Spring

I've been seeing a lot of cute cards made with this die. I finally decided to go ahead and buy it.  Today, I used two images from Bug a Boo to make this card.  Bunny Trio  only had three images so I used one of the bunnies from the mini  bunny block set.  I really like this card.  It is my favorite so far this year. It fits the sketch at Sketch Saturday perfectly. The Bees are  buzzing and that is  a  sure  sign Spring is just around the corner.  Once again I am cleaning off my desk and ran across these scraps of paper so I started looking for a  sketch  to use them.  MFT Card Challenges has this  sketch.  Seemed to be just what I needed  for this  bright, happy card. Just a quick minute to post this card.  Orange isn't a  color I u se a lot of but today seemed fitting.  I used the  sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches for this elegant card.  I think the  embossing  just adds a  touch of class to the lacy edges on the paper.  Simon Says  Wednesday has a Die  cuts Challenge.   Cards TV has an Anything Goes Challenge.  Cute Card Thursday has a one word  sentiment challenge.  As You Like It has an Add a Sentiment challenge.  I like simple phrases on the front of the card. Bee Mine

I raise  bees so anytime I see  a bee on paper or cards I just hafta  make it.  I really like how this turned out.  The faux stitching around the  heart  showing the bee's flight  gives it an extra  zap for me. My Husband  will be getting this card this evening when he comes  home from work.

My Valentine

Another  quick card while the kids are napping.  This is another  die I received in the mail a  few days ago.  I thought it was so  pretty. I cut it from red paper then again in white so I could  color the  flowers. This sketch comes from  Die Cutting Divas. Word Art Wednesday and CardsTV both have an Anything Goes Challenge ending soon.

This sketch came from Freshly Made Sketches.  I really  had no clue what to do with it  until the mail came and I received this new  heart  die.  I just had to try it and this seemed a good place to put it.  Crafting From the Heart has  their usual  Anything Goes Challenge.

Butterflies

Today, I learned  a friend  lost her Mother.  It had been a long battle with cancer.  I don't do a lot of  sympathy cards  so I  didn't have a sentiment to go on the outside.  But I like the clean plain look of this.   I bought this  die a few weeks ago and  hadn't used it yet so  now it can be  put up instead of floating around on my desk just waiting to be used.

Elephant

Today I used scraps from my desk to put this  card  together.  I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  I'm not  quite sure  why but my camera made the  elephant look like he's standing sideways.  He's really not but I took the picture twice  and it looks the same  both times.  Crafty Creations has an Anything Goes Challenge.   Even though it made this card a little busier than I  normally  like I used  3 patterned papers for the background. Dream  Valley has a 3 patterned paper challenge.  MFT Challenges has a  color challenge this should work real well in.  Hiding in my Craft Room has a Super Scrap Saturday Challenge.

Happy Valentines Day

It seems I have  so little down  time any more.  Because of this  my style has changed to quick and easy. I don't really like it but it is better than  doing nothing at all.  Since it is so close to Valentines Day and I've done  no other card I cut several of these to mail out tomorrow. Some will be late but atleast the thought was there.

Dragonfly

Another  embossing folder!  I fold  quite a few on clearance at Hobby Lobby last week.   So  rather than  shove them in the basket withal the other folders  I decided to try and use them first.  So far I'm doing pretty well.  This Dragonfly die was also on  clearance.  He didn't  cut  and emboss as well as I thought he might so he will probably not make into my favorite list.  Crafting by Designs has a  Wings challenge.  Die Cutting Divas and Cute Card Thursday both have an Anything Goes Challenge.

Julie's Birthday

Wow!  I am amazed  at all the crafting time Ive had this weekend.  The  weather was totally miserable so it was a good time to stay in where it is warm. Seems I missed  my friend Julie's Birthday   yesterday.  So I decided to drop by her work and  put this card on her desk along with a  little something special so she can find it tomorrow when she comes to work. 

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and  embossed the background to give it a more finished looked.  I sorta  going thru a  pink and green stage right now so I'm calling them my favorite color scheme so I'm also using this  card in the Tuesday Throw Down favorite  Color Challenge. The Paper Shelter has a  Birthday Challenge.  Normally I like to use one of their images but for today I hope this will work.
