Elephant

Today I used scraps from my desk to put this  card  together.  I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches.  I'm not  quite sure  why but my camera made the  elephant look like he's standing sideways.  He's really not but I took the picture twice  and it looks the same  both times.  Crafty Creations has an Anything Goes Challenge.   Even though it made this card a little busier than I  normally  like I used  3 patterned papers for the background. Dream  Valley has a 3 patterned paper challenge.  MFT Challenges has a  color challenge this should work real well in.  Hiding in my Craft Room has a Super Scrap Saturday Challenge.

Happy Valentines Day

It seems I have  so little down  time any more.  Because of this  my style has changed to quick and easy. I don't really like it but it is better than  doing nothing at all.  Since it is so close to Valentines Day and I've done  no other card I cut several of these to mail out tomorrow. Some will be late but atleast the thought was there. 

 There are  quite a  few challenges this month  using Valentines/ Love as their theme.

Dragonfly

Another  embossing folder!  I fold  quite a few on clearance at Hobby Lobby last week.   So  rather than  shove them in the basket withal the other folders  I decided to try and use them first.  So far I'm doing pretty well.  This Dragonfly die was also on  clearance.  He didn't  cut  and emboss as well as I thought he might so he will probably not make into my favorite list.  Crafting by Designs has a  Wings challenge.  Die Cutting Divas and Cute Card Thursday both have an Anything Goes Challenge.

Julie's Birthday

Wow!  I am amazed  at all the crafting time Ive had this weekend.  The  weather was totally miserable so it was a good time to stay in where it is warm. Seems I missed  my friend Julie's Birthday   yesterday.  So I decided to drop by her work and  put this card on her desk along with a  little something special so she can find it tomorrow when she comes to work. 

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and  embossed the background to give it a more finished looked.  I sorta  going thru a  pink and green stage right now so I'm calling them my favorite color scheme so I'm also using this  card in the Tuesday Throw Down favorite  Color Challenge. The Paper Shelter has a  Birthday Challenge.  Normally I like to use one of their images but for today I hope this will work. If You Give a Crafter a Cookie also has a Birthday Challenge.  Seize the Birthday has a Candle Challenge.  Crafty Sentiments has an Anything Goes Challenge. 

Tiddly Inks

This  sweet gal  found her way across my desk this afternoon.  I wasn't real sure what to do with her, but decided she would be perfect for my daughter's Birthday on Valentines Day.  I don't like birthday's that fall on Holidays because it sorta distracts from the birthday. This  embossing folder has  quickly become one  of my favorites. I've used it several times lately.  This  sketch is from Tuesday Morning Sketches and the Image is from Tiddly Inks.

Thank you cards are not something I use a lot of.  Today, however I did  find myself in need of one.  This one  goes to Julian for  all the extra little things he does for me.  Pile It on has a Thank you challenge with  a black and white  twist.  Simon Says Wednesday has an Anything Goes Challenge I've managed to overlook.

Sealed With a Kiss

The weather  here is  still frightful.  It is cool and windy today so it is definitely a stay at home  kind of day.  I saw these darling seals at Imagine That and  just wanted something cute and  simple.  I used the  sketch from MFT Sketch Challenges for this card.  Crafting from the Heart and Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge both have their usual   Anything Goes Challenge. Casology's Word for the week is Swoon.  I wasn't real sure how to approach that but seems these cute seals might "swoon" after their  kiss.  Just Add Ink has  a Romance challenge.  Hiding in My Craft Room has a Pinks and Reds challenge.  Aud Sentiments has a Valentine Sentiment  Challenge.  Casual Friday has a heart  hearts  and more hearts challenge.
