Pumpkin Girl

I've not had a lot of time to do Halloween cards this year.  Fall is  my favorite time  of  year and it just seems  I have too many projects and not enough time.  Tonight I threw this quick card together to enter into a few challenges that will close soon. 

Crafty Gals has a Halloween Colors Challenge.
Paper Play Sketches  has a color challenge this week.  Black Orange and Gray.
Through the Craft Room Door, Penny's Paper Craft Challenges and Craft Creations all have an Anything Goes Challenge.

Small pumpkin boxes

I often  visit  nursing home where there are a lot of patients who have no family to visit them.  My daughter and I made  40  of these small boxes and filled them with candy.  I plan to deliver them to the nursing home next week for those patients.  These  small treats  will surely  brighten their day.  Die Cutting Divas has  a RAK challenge this week.  This  should work real well there.  Give a Crafter a Cookie and CAS on Friday both have a Halloween themed challenge.

Pumpkin Cart

For his  cute  guy I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I don't  always have ideas on a layout when I start so it is nice to be able to use a sketch.   Aud Sentiments has a Die+ a Sentiment challenge. I managed to  pull out my Spellbinder rectangles to cut pieces for this card since I couldn't get to my silhouette.  Both  Inspiration Destination and  Through the Purple Haze have Anything Goes Challenges.  Di's Digi Challenges has an Add a Sentiment challenge.

Autumn Shadow Box Card

Today  I made this  shadowbox card for the Glitter N' Sparkle Fall Challenge.  I really like these cards but I  did  think it needed more color so I added the fall leaf patterned paper  to the  back flap.  I used a  sugar  glitter fine  paper to cut the  word Autumn for the front.  Through the  Craft Room Door has an Anything Goes challenge.

Halloween Treat Boxes

Today I made this collection of treat boxes.   I like to have a  few  on hand so that I can give them out to people I meet along  my daily travels.  I filled these with jelly beans. I  hope whoever receives them enjoys them as much as  I enjoyed making them.  Simon Says Monday has an Anything but a card challenge.

Happy Haunting

I  finally found  a few minutes of  peace and quiet so of course I sat down in the craft room.  because I'm on limited time I needed something simple.  This sketch is from Little Tangles.  it seemed to just  fit for this image I colored a  few days ago.  Cupcake Inspirations has a Yellow Orange and Black Challenge. Light Bulbs

Over  the weekend  my husband finally completed an  electrical project  I'd been waiting  rather  impatiently for him to do.  he is out of  town this week so I made this card to put in his suitcase to let him   know I appreciate him finishing the job for me.  I decided to  use monochrome colors so I could use this card in the Cute Card  Thursday monochrome challenge and because it just seemed to fit  that way.  Through the Purple Haze has a  romantic challenge.  After  36 years.  This is called  romance at my house! LOL

Red Flowers

I really  like the way this card turned out.  I used a textured polka paper at the  bottom to give it a special look.  I think the  plaid green makes the  flowers really  pop.  I layered the  blue bottle and flower to  give the card some depth.

Owl Shadow Box

I love these  cute little shadow box  cards I found in the Silhouette Store.  I'm sending this one to my friend Basie who loves all things OWL.  Also I want to use it in the Simon Says Wednesday  Pop Up challenge.  Word Art Wednesday and Cards TV both have an anything goes  challenge.

Ice Cream

I made this one last night and forgot to post it.  Good thing I spent  some time cleaning off my desk this morning.  Fab N Funky has a  "For A friend" challenge.    What says friendship more than sharing a delicious bowl of ice cream?  City Crafter has a  Summertime  theme.  I  simply love ice cream in the Summertime. 

Little witch

I found this  sweet  witch in  my left over stash from last year and decided she was a  perfect fit for the Tuesday Morning Sketch.   I love the  spider web paper behind her.  Marker Pop  has a  Halloween themed  challenge.

Fall

Well, as usual I didn't get as much done as I had planned but that's ok  tomorrow is yet another day.  Die Cutting Divas has a 3d, shaker or Shaped card  challenge.  I went with 3  D  this time.  I've been seeing a lot of these twist  pop cards and wanted to  try them. I used several leaf  punches and  a couple dies too.   It was a fun card to put together and I am  sure I  will do more of this  style soon. Wishing you a Happy Birthday

Wow! Has  my  last post really been in July? Where  did all that time go?  My  house is a real chaotic mess right now. With my daughter and  my two  Grands  living in  the house I  seem never to  have time to sit and do anything.   But I'm working on  changing that so I can atleast  have a few minutes each  day to relax.  I will be  posting several cards today that I've worked on during this past week. 

This card is one my sister copied from somewhere but I do  not  know where.  I saw it when  she finished it and then went on to make mine just a wee bit  different.   I'm always in need of  Birthday cards so I made 6 of these in different  colors.

Rainy Day Duck

Today started outa s a  rainy day so I decided to use this  darling little duck that's been hiding on my desk for a while.  I  popped him out to give some dimension to this card.  I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.  Penny's Paper Craft Challenges has an  anything  goes theme.  CAS on Sunday has a Primary Color challenge.  Cute Card Thursday has a Summer Colors challenge.

Patriotic Elephant

Gee its been quite a  while since I posted anything again.  I'm really trying to do better!   Today I made  these darling cards.  I started them a few weeks ago but never finished  them.  I guess I'll put them aside until next year but atleast they are  done.

Heart Shaker Card

I actually made this a few weeks ago and it has been laying on my  desk  just waiting to be  posted.  Time  has really gotten away   from me lately.  Inspiration Destination has an Anything Goes with optional Shaker Card Challenge.

Butterfly trio

Another  Quick and easy  card.  I love all these  trio cards I have in the Silhouette Library.  I love all the bright colors on this card.  Casual Friday Challenges has a  Patterned paper  challenge.  CAS on  Sunday has a repetitive image challenge.  Crafting From the Heart has an Anything Goes Challenge.

Just Bee Cause I Love you

My husband is  traveling out of town for a few days for his work.  I'm sure it  will come as no surprise when he finds  a card  packed in his bag.  He recently added more bees to our aviary  so I thought this was a cute card to send with him.  I used a bee  die I bought long ago that I never used.  So  glad I found it for todays card.  Dies R Us  Challenges has a masculine theme.  Simon Says Wednesday also has a masculine theme.  I used a lot of scraps for this card so I also want to enter  it in the Jo's Scrap Shack Anything Goes Challenge.  Hiding in My Craft Room also has a Scraps  Challenge.  Simon Says Monday has a  Touchy, Feely challenge.  The  honey  comb  paper in the back ground has an embossed texture to it.  I cut eh bees from a flocked  paper to give them a  soft fuzzy feel. the White "honey cells' are raised to give yet more texture to this card.

Bee Happy

Hi people!  I'm back but  probably not for long.  It has been an eventful month since I've posted anything.  Life gets hectic sometimes and  crafting has to take a back step.  Anyway for this card I used the sketch as Freshly Made Sketches. Penny's Challenge has a  Quick and Easy theme. Crafty Creations  and Brown Sugar Challenges both  have an Anything Goes Challenge also.

Once again I'm cleaning off my desk.  Found this Whimsie Doodle image I printed weeks ago and  didn't use.  Decided to use it for the Your Next Stamp sketch and color challenge.  Whimsie Doodle also has an Anything Goes Challenge.  Since I'm using scraps for this entire card, Hiding in My Craft Room has a Scraps Challenge.

Easter Bunny Trio

It's been a  few days since I've had time to play.  Tonight I was determined to sit and relax for a few.  I saw this  cute card weeks ago at My Scrap Chick and  wanted to make it.  Cards TV has an Anything Goes Challenge ending real soon. I really want to get this entered there.  I always look forward to their challenges.  Simon Says Monday has a   Hip Hop Challenge.  Die Cutting Divas also has a Spring/Easter Challenge.  I used a  tiny  button die that I've had  for a very long time and never used as well as  a bow tie die and a rounded  edge tag  die.  Cuttlebug Mania has a Some Bunny to Love  Challenge.  Crafting When We Can has an Animals Challenge.  Jo's Scrap Shack and Crafting From the Heart both have Anything Goes Challenges.

Dogwood

I'm still having issues with my camera not real sure what's  going on with it.  This  picture does not do  any justice to this  striking card.  I used  a  dogwood  bloom  embossing folder that is  just  so  delicate.  I colored the enters  a soft shimmery  pink then added  a faint beige to the tips of the petals.  Turned out so  pretty.   I will try and adjust my  camera and  post a better pic soon. Glitter N' Sparkle has  a Use Pastels Challenge.  This  is perfect.  Crafty Sentiments and  Word Art Wednesday both have an Anything Goes Challenge.

Bunnies

Today I saw this darling image at Di's Digitals.    I knew I just had to have it.  So instead of sitting it to the  side after I bought it, like I do so many things I have bought lately,I jumped right into making this card. Di's Digi Challenge for this week is add texture.  I used a new embossing folder to  texture the background.  then I added the ribbon to give it that extra touch. I used the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  Both Inspiration Destination and Crafty Creations  have an Anything Goes  Challenge.

Girl with Bunny

today I only a little  time to play so I chose this  simply  border cut  and  added a digital image to it.  Catch the Bug  and  Crafting from the Heart both have an Anything Goes Challenge.  Cup Cake  Inspirations has a  color scheme of  Maroon  Coral and lemon.

Koala bears

This image is the  challenge of the week at Crafting Desert Divas.  I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday and the  color scheme from  Marker Pop.  Crafting From the Heart and Through  the Craft Room Door both have an Anything Goes Challenge.  Tuesday Throw Down has a Tropical Critters Challenge.

Another  quick one before bed.  For this I used the sketch at Cas(e) This Sketch.  Through the Purple Haze has a Springtime challenge.  These  delightful daisy surely make me think of Spring.  Jo's Scrap Shack has  a yellow themed  challenge.

I didn't  have a lot of time today to play so I  chose a  quick and easy sketch for the CardsTV Easter  using any Cards TV  sketch  challenge. Cute Card Thursday also has a Warm Tones  Color Challenge.  I decided to use the brighter warmer colors in the egg and  the bright  yellow  "chick' suit.  Just Add Ink has a Critters Challenge.  Both Brown Sugar Challenges and  Simon Says Wednesday both have anything goes challenges.

Daffodil Basket

I think Spring has finally Sprung for good.  The weather here has been so up and  down.  One day its 85 the next its 30.  I decided to make this darling daffodil basket for the Die Cutting Diva's 3d Challenge.  I used a memory box  picket fence die and a  flower die  but I'm not sure where I  got it. I also added a flutter butterfly to the  handle. I like to  cut butterflies from  Velum then color them to give them that soft graceful flutter. Pinspirational Challenges has  a Spring Challenge.  Simon Says Wednesday has a  more than  one  punch or die  challenge.



Lucky Little Bird

You  guessed it!  I found yet another St. Patty's day card I made and did not post.  I had decided the bird  didn't  color too well because my  marker is drying out and was  going to  throw it out.  Well today I decided  maybe it looks like I tried to shade his  feathers.  I used the image at  From the Heart.  I always enjoy using their images.  I also used the sketch at I {Heart} Sketches.  Simon Says Monday has a Layers Challenge.

At the rate I am going I will soon run  out of Green scraps.  That would be a very good thing.  Today I used  the sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches to complete the challenge at Catch the Bug. Their challenge is  Bingo.  I had to use a Bug A Boo image, washi tape and gem stones.  Crafting By Designs has a Thinking of You challenge.

Last week  I colored this cute  guy.  I used my glitter gel pens for most of him.  I like the soft shimmer these pens gave his hat and  vest.  I used the  sketch from Sketch Saturday.  Hiding in My Craft Room has a three designer paper challenge.  I actually used  5 but  who is  counting? My only Grandson's Birthday is this week.   he would really prefer a Paw Patrol card but I  wasn't  quite feeling that creative.   So instead he's getting this cute dinosaur card.  Hope it makes his day special.  FAb and Funky has A children's card challenge.   Cute Card Thursday has a celebrations Challenge.

My third  grandchild will be born on Wednesday.  We know her  name is Avery. I made this is card to welcome her into the world.  The motif in her  room is  elephants  so this oughta fit right in.  Also,

I haven't  spent a lot of time in the craft room lately.  Just too many things  going  on in my life to make time  for playing.  Tonight I took a break and made this cute St. Patrick's Day card.  I added glitter to the  word lucky and some of the shamrocks. Happy Birthday Bendi

I simply love these Bendi cards.  I've always liked texture and dimension on my  cards.  This is a  quick and easy way to get both.  I made several of these to replenish my  Birthday card  file because I know I have a lot of birthdays coming up in April.  Cut It Up Challenges has a Bendi card or Create a Scene challenge.  Cute Card Thursday has a No Patterned Paper Challenge.  Brown Sugar Challenges has a  Birthday themed challenge.

St Patricks's Day

Today seemed like a good day to start on my St. Patrick's Day cards.  This was not the original plan but after many interruptions  this is  how it ended up.  It  should  work in the Crafting By Designs Polka Dot  challenge.  I', not sure  just  how well  you can see the  polka  paper in the bottom  right corner but  I am  sure you can see the  polka in the top corner. Jo's Scrap Shack has an Anything Goes challenge.  I was  able to complete this card entirely of scraps.  I love using up  some of my many  scraps.

Pink Stacked heart with flower

I made this card for  Valentines but never mailed it.  I never  got around to posting it either.  Today I am using it for the Simon Says Wednesdays Fantastic Florals Challenge.  Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge has an Anything Goes Challenge.  The Paper Shelter and Through the Purple Haze both have a Valentine  themed challenge.  Pink and Main has Love as their theme.
